The National Treasury, Principal Secretary Dr. Chris Kiptoo joined Ministers, colleagues and other dignitaries at the opening ceremony of the 25th ESAAMLG Council of Ministers Meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Eastern and Southern Africa Anti-Money Laundering Group (ESAAMLG) Council, the apex decision-making organ, provides strategic leadership in the fight against money laundering and terrorist financing (AML/CFT), ensuring our region aligns with international standards set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Kenya remains fully committed to advancing financial integrity, transparency, and security across the Eastern and Southern Africa region.
The ceremony was officially opened by H.E. Temesgen Tiruneh, Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
