PS appears before the National Assembly Public Accounts committee PAC to respond on issues of pending bills
The National Treasury PS Dr. Chris Kiptoo this morning appeared before the National Assembly Public Accounts committee PAC chaired by Hon. Tindi Mwale to respond to issues of pending bills
The PS was accompanied by the former Pending bills verification committee chairperson Dr, FCPA Edward Ouko and other Treasury officials.
The PS expressed his commitment to ensure that Treasury concludes this issue by end of the year
While responding to the question of payments he said that all verified claims will be paid once the processing will be finalized.
The PS was requested that all payment be made by Treasury not state departments but in his response he informed the committee that Treasury will twin the payment once sent to MDAs they can't spend the fund for other use
The committee acknowledged the reforms Treasury is taking to ensure that funds sent to county are spend for the intended payments only.
